Earth Rhythms is a retreat born from a beautiful dream seed that we have been watering for years, and it's finally here. Our journeys with music & medicine have transformed our lives in every conceivable way, and we want to share the most precious gems we've discovered along the way with you. All while being cradled in the loving arms of our Mother Earth here in one of the most profoundly alive & exquisitely beautiful places on Earth - the Big Island of Hawai'i.

Medicine Music?

Medicine music comes from traditions all over the world, usually centering around ceremonial practices where medicines from the Earth are ingested to open up a dialogue with the natural world. These rituals have existed since the dawn of time, and the songs birthed from them are one of the greatest gifts to Humanity. Although diverse, all Medicine Music has one thing in common - it heals. Just like all good medicine should.

Medicine music allows us to reconnect to the Spirit of Nature that is our own true nature. When we become receptive to the natural realm, this flow of healing frequencies can be translated into music.

Medicine music clears the way. It opens the path to the heart & clears the mind so that we can align with our purest intentions for the highest good of all paths. The medicine songs that come through us are the keys that allow us to unlock the deepest parts of ourselves, to express our very essence, so we can realize ourselves more fully. So that we may know ourselves more deeply & purely.

Rainbow & Arrow, and Eric & Janae of Mountain Tribe have been dreaming of creating a retreat like this for years, and it is finally here. Nestled on the southeast coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, Eric & Janae’s Rivendell homestead is tucked away in the lush old growth forest of Wa’aWa’a. Here we will immerse ourselves in the elemental magic of this beautiful, completely off-grid oasis.

Picture yourself around the fire, listening to the wild frogs sing & the rhythm of the waves, bathing in starlight like you have never seen before. Here with like hearted souls, we will stoke the fire of the song of humanity, one melody at a time.

In this week-long immersion, we will explore the full spectrum of the medicine of music, including vocal practices, learning sacred songs, icaros, invocations, & chants, instrument making, instrumentation coaching, songwriting & channeling, as well as plant medicine ceremonies to assist us in deepening our understanding of the themes we explore together.

We will also be connecting deeply with the elements & the land itself to receive the connection, inspiration, & support from the Spirits of Nature. The Earth is here to help us attune the instrument that is our vessel. Everything in nature is singing. Whether you can hear it or not, every living thing is humming a unique frequency. ERIC

MEET

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to meet an actual wizard? Or find the leprechaun with a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow? Well if you know Eric Anderton. then you know it’s a real possibility! Eric is a living breathing magic man. Ever since he can remember he’s been a believer of magic, and followed the synchronicities of life, listening deeply to the wisdom of the elements.

Eric has been songwriting since the age of 16. He recorded his life experiences, profound journeys, & deepest lessons into music as a way for him to process life so that he could revisit them every time he played the song. In 2009, Eric formed the band UniPhi with his dear friend Scott Peterson, taking songwriting into the professional realm, playing alongside bands, such as Sublime, Everlast, and OK Go.

In 2014 he was united with the love of his life Janae and together they began forming a divine harmony, weaving the fabric of deep love & unity through the magic of their songs. Soon after, they formed the band Mountain Tribe. Over the last decade, Mountain Tribe has performed and shared in hundreds of retreats, venues, festivals, & ceremonies together, touching the lives of countless beings.

Eric has dedicated his life to cultivating deeper connection to the Earth & deeper frequencies of love, and integrating these lessons into song. Along the way, he has been initiated and worked with over a dozen different traditions & lineages from all over the world & integrating these teachings into his life and the lives of his family and tribe.

During the past two years, Eric, with his wife Janae and their twins, Orion and Luna have made the transition to the Big Island and following the synchronicity of life, have built a wondrous 7 acre retreat. Pouring countless hours into working with the land to create the magic of this space, it has been a dream come true.

You can find Eric with guitar in hand, a sparkle in his eye, and a smile that warms even the hardest of hearts. With his unbelievable tales, he can turn the most cynical person into a believer that the magic of life is real!

JANAE

MEET

Janae has been immersed in, and actively devoted to the path of spirituality & self love for over two decades. Along this journey she has integrated and embodied teachings from multiple plant teachers, along with several traditions, learning from different teachers, guides, shamans, mystics, priestesses, and healers of all kinds. Through that, she gained her own unique way of healing and serving the community.

She has received countless initiations from the Earth & Universe allowing her to see her direct connection to the angelic realm and the divine feminine. These initiations led her on a journey of finding her voice. After listening to the synchronicities of life, her heart led her to Eric where she found herself naturally harmonizing with him. She organically flowed with the frequency at which he channels songs from. With no formal musical training, she fully stepped into using her voice from a place of authenticity & pure love. Janae cultivated a deep connection with the vibration of these songs, and began sharing them alongside Eric. And not long after, the band Mountain Tribe was formed! The way Janae sees it, the heart of this music comes from the Divine Union of the masculine and feminine energies uniting together, bringing a deep sense of belonging to those who hear and feel it.

The journey of revealing her voice alongside communing with plant allies, and being initiated into motherhood with twins has led her to a deeper understanding of energy and her divine purpose. A Reiki master of 17 years and a life long student of a variety of energetic healing modalities, Janae has been serving the community as a plant medicine guardian and integration guide, guiding individuals back to their hearts and back to their own truth.

RAINBOW

MEET

Rainbow was called to her medicine path through a series of divine alignments nine years ago. Before her path to healing, her light was stifled under layers of conditioning, habits that kept her deep in distraction, unhealthy relationships, and ultimately a lack of love for herself. With the assistance of plant medicine, she began to uncover & nurture the divine light within, and profound healing & awakening transpired. She was quickly shown that a big part of her soul mission is to create safe spaces for others to also receive healing through these precious & powerful plant allies. In 2016, she began a shamanic apprenticeship and moved to Hawaii to immerse herself in the study of sacred master plants. As a student of Amma Sophia, she honors the shamanic way of the Goddess through Grandmother earth medicine and the codes of sonic alchemy. She is also trained in integrative modalities for proper preparation & integration coaching & support. Through her work with sacred medicines, she awakened her own musical gifts, and is passionate about vocal liberation and the healing power of the voice. She believes that through love, anything is possible. But it all starts with love for the self, which often requires a journey of cleansing, awakening, healing, & reclamation, When we create a loving relationship with ourselves, that love ripples out and blesses everything we touch.

ARROW

MEET

From a young age, Arrow has always known there is so much more happening beyond the dualistic lens of life, and that there is energy flowing through humanity and a unified field connecting all of creation. This awareness led him to the study of the fundamental structure that makes up our bodies and the universe: air, fire, water, mineral, and ether. As he carries forth the tradition of the Goddess in this Golden Age with a mission to bring online and reconnect to the divine matrix, he is passionate about assisting all beings to come into alignment with their cosmic connection and origin, realize their unique gifts, and remember their birthright as sentient beings of our Earth Mother. This mission has led Arrow to embark on the path of shamanism, which began nine years ago, and has led him to the facilitation of ceremony. He has made his home in Hawaii with his partner, Didi, where he cares for the plants and continues his studies. An accomplished musician and singer of 20 years, he is a gifted sound healer, a lover of the arts, and guides others through their own musical journey with voice & instrumentation. It is his belief that it will be through us all singing our unique harmonic note that we will create the new world that is already taking shape now.
